U.S. Lumber Coalition Co-Chairs Jason Brochu and Joe Patton


Jason Brochu is Co-President of Pleasant River Lumber Company in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine. Pleasant River is the northeast’s largest lumber producer with four sawmills and a trucking company collectively employing over 300 people throughout Maine. Annual production is 230,000,000 board feet of dimension lumber and eastern white pine boards. Jason has served on the boards of the Northeastern Lumber Manufacturers Association, the Maine Forest Products Council and currently represents the northeast on the American Lumber Standards Committee. Jason is a 1994 graduate of Bentley College in Waltham, Massachusetts.

Joe Patton is the Vice President of Wood Products for the Westervelt Company located in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Westervelt, a family owned company, owns in excess of 500,000 acres of timberland in the southeastern US. Westervelt Lumber produces over 285 million board feet annually of Southern Yellow Pine lumber in Moundville, Alabama. Patton has served the industry as Chairman of the Southern Forest Products Assn, Chair of the American Wood Council and Chair of WoodWorks.
